Low Inventory of Homes: Prices Trending Higherin Many Neighborhoods
There is currently a low inventory of homes for sale in many neighborhoods throughout the Greater Toronto area.
If you have been thinking of selling - now is the time to start preparing in order to capitalize on a tight market. Low inventory means stronger prices.
When is the Best Time to Sell a Home?
One of the most common questions people ask me is "When is the best time to sell my home?"
Although properties sell all of the time throughout the year - being informed of the prime selling months can greatly benefit a property owner on maximizing their selling price and meeting their real estate objectives.
Many people today are so busy with their every-day lives that they overlook or don't have the time to discuss their real estate plans and goals for the future.
Prudent sellers whether they are upsizing or downsizing - will usually put their houses on the market in January, February, March & April and in September, October & November. Historically, these have been good selling months.
In May & June, even though the gardens and landscaping looks the best - increased competition from other sellers can be expected, hence, affecting values and the time it takes to sell. In July & August, the number of prospective buyers drops as people have either already made their transaction, or simply enjoying the summer months.
Although real estate is all about location, location, location, however, timing is really everything.
